May 4, 1898 - Chinese American Attorneys - commemorates the birthday of
You Chung Hong, the first Chinese American attorney in California and the first Chinese American graduate of the University of Southern California Law School.
May 6, 1882 - Chinese Exclusion Act: On this day, the United States enacted the first law in its history to significantly restrict free immigration by race or nationality.
May 5, 1892 - The Geary Act: On this day, Congress extended the Chinese Exclusion Act for another ten years, additionally putting the burden of proof onto Chinese residents to establish their right to live and work in the United States.
May 11, 2010 - The passing of a Chinese American Hero
